The goal of this project is to have Sherlock fans from around the world to add themselves to a group map, allowing everyone to easily get in touch with other fans who live near them.
The map can be found here. To add yourself to the map:
- Sign up to become a member of the site.
- Click the ‘Add a Marker’ button and click on your city to place the marker.
- Choose an icon from the ‘Categories’ drop down menu.
- Place your Tumblr URL in the ‘Description’ box so other Sherlockians know where they can contact you.
Also, this should go without saying, but please don’t put your specific home address on this map - just the city where you live. Safety and all that.

I’ve gotten quite a few questions about this, so here’s a little FAQ for you guys:
Why isn’t the map loading? Is the link broken?
Don’t worry, the site is just having a bit of trouble loading right now. I’m not sure, but I think it may be because so many people are trying to add themselves to the map at the same time. Just keep refreshing the page until it loads, or try again later. It’ll work eventually. :)
I put my marker in the wrong place! Can I move it?
Yes! After you confirm your email address you will have the ability to move or delete any markers you place.
Can I add more than one marker?
Yes, feel free! Everyone has the ability to add multiple markers, so if you live in more than one location and want to mark both, go for it!
Can I link to the map from another site?
Sure! I don’t have a livejournal or a twitter or any of those, which is why I didn’t promote this map on those sites. You guys can feel free to share it wherever you want, though - the more Sherlockians the better, I say!
How many people are on the map so far?
There are 4,078 people on the map as of March 9th. :D
